SIRADEL invests about 15% of its revenues in R&D investments every year. With its 2 expert R&D teams, located in Rennes (France) and Toronto (Canada), SIRADEL speeds up the convergence between wireless, fixed networks and urban infrastructures (energy, water, transportation…), while developing new tools and new paradigms for understanding and co-designing cities more efficiently.
On the wireless topic, some key research areas encompass wireless network design optimization and advanced wireless channel modeling. On the geodata, new methods are designed to digitize large urban territories in 3D, and to automatically extract semantics. Finally we explore innovative big geodata management systems to share and exploit the considerable amount of heterogeneous geodata generated by cities and its stakeholders.
