Siradel, a subsidiary of the Engie Group based in St Grégoire, France, has just added new Smart City capabilities to its portfolio by integrating the Asphales company, located in Lyon-Villeurbanne.
As a specialist in integrated risk management, these new skills and capabilities will complement Siradel’s expertise in city and territory planning.
For the past 10 years, Asphales has been supporting various players with risk management up to crisis management solutions. Historical customers include industrial groups such as Michelin or Renault as well as local or state authorities and civil security actors.
This solution will be integrated into Siradel’s Smart City platform and will enable territories and companies to plan their projects by combining the data aggregation, simulation and 3D visualization capabilities of the platform with the necessary risk management inherent in the life cycle of any project.
Siradel’s cross-cutting approach to urban planning, which already includes connectivity, lighting, surveillance, energy and mobility infrastructure planning, will now cover issues of security and resilience.
Siradel is already well-established internationally (Toronto, Canada, Dallas, USA, Hong Kong and Shanghai, China, and Moscow, Russia) and will utilize this complementary expertise to continue its steady development.
“We are very pleased to welcome the Asphales expert team within Siradel. This acquisition allows us to complete our expertise in simulation-planning on a key issue for our customers: the resilience of cities. We wish to allow territories to rely on a single common reference system for all stakeholders and all their issues in a balanced way for urban well-being.” said Laurent Bouillot, CEO of Siradel.
